22nd Annual SWIM Across the Sound Marathon

Departure:Long Island Sound Ferry, Bridgeport

Start:Approximately 8:30-9:30 am
West Beach, Port Jefferson, NY
Finish:Captain's Cove Marina, Bridgeport, CT
Distance:25km
Time Limit:9 hrs, 30 min.
Max # of Participants:15 solo swimmers, 5 two-person relays and up to 45 team relays
Minimum Age:19 years old for solo swimmers and two-person relay team members; 13 years old for relay team members. Exceptions may be considered under the discretion of the Event Committee.
Fees:Solo swimmers - $1,500
Two-person relay - $3,500
Team relay - $7,500
Boats:Each swimmer/team will be provided with a motorized escort boat.
Awards:The top male and female finishers in the solo swim category will receive awards.

The relay team category focuses more on fundraising efforts for cancer programs sponsored by the SWIM, rather than race placement. An award will be presented to the relay team that raises the most money. All other teams and their members will receive an award to recognize their participation.
